McKee Developments builds considered homes across Lake Macquarie and the Hunter. Our team brings together architecture, building and project delivery under one roof — and when you call, you speak directly with the people shaping your home.
We started the studio in 2018, on a single-lot terrace in Warners Bay, because we couldn't find anyone building the kind of homes we wanted to live in ourselves. Eight years later, we still measure every project against that first one.
Our work is small on purpose. We cap our projects at forty-or-fewer residences so that the person who chose the brick is the person who will introduce you to your neighbour.
We work with a rotating cast of Australia's best architects — SJB, CHROFI, Durbach Block Jaggers, Terroir — and a fixed cast of local trades who have built with us since day one.

Founder · Development Director
Matt McKee
Matt founded McKee Developments in 2018 after fifteen years across acquisitions, delivery, and sales for two of Sydney's most respected boutique developers. He grew up on Lake Macquarie and returned to it deliberately — every McKee project is within a forty-minute drive of where he learned to sail.
Head of Design
Priya Nair
Priya leads architectural collaboration, interiors, and the studio's material library. Trained at RMIT and formerly of Kerstin Thompson Architects, she believes a well-drawn plan is worth more than any amount of marketing.
Head of Delivery
Tom Whitfield
Tom is a registered builder with two decades of adaptive-reuse experience across the Hunter and Central Coast. He runs our program, procurement, and construction relationships.
Client & Community
Georgia Halim
Georgia manages our purchaser experience, community consultation, and post-settlement care. Every McKee resident has her number.
