Kilaben Terrace is a study in restraint. The brief was to leave the foreshore softer than we found it — so the buildings step back from the water, the ground plane belongs to the community, and every home reads a garden before it reads a driveway.
Materials are honest and local: bagged blockwork, weathered blackbutt, and standing-seam zinc. The plans favour cross-ventilation over air-conditioning, deep eaves over blinds, and a shared boathouse over private jetties.
First release opens for expressions of interest this spring. Construction is scheduled to commence Q1 2026, with completion mid-2027.
